But can I also say that I am sooooo glad that her next competition isn't until Jan. 7th. Oh Mah Gah these things are sooooo tiring. It was an extremely LOOONNNNGGGG day. We arrived at the arena at noon. Laura competed around 3:00 and then we waited and watched and our brains went numb as we watched 3,825 other teams compete. And the music? Can they make it any louder? Uh don't answer that because they will probably try. After while, all the teams look alike and all the music is the same and you just sit there with glassed-over eyes and your brain stopped working long, long ago. We were there for 8 hours, of which, we watched Laura compete for 2 minutes 19 seconds. But it was all worth it to see her face when she placed first.
Oh and I have to do a big Thank You shout out to Janet for taking Jack for the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You probably saved my sanity in a big way. Not sure what I would do if we had to entertain the boy during the brain-numbing hours.
So because she placed first today, we get to go to Vegas in March for a FOUR DAY Nationals competition. Oh my, won't that be fun!
