Sizes
Okay, I knew going into this whole pregnancy having a baby thing would change me. I knew that what little figure I did have would be lost for awhile (still trying to get that back). And I had heard about the sleepless nights (yes they are hard!). But what I didn't know is that my Feet would grow a whole size!. Now, I didn't have the daintiest of feet to begin with at size 9s and the last thing I needed was to have them grow! But that is what they did. I went to get new tennis shoes to start that whole exercise thing back up and try to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes (after 6 months I guess it is time huh?). So I pull a size 9 pair of shoes off the shelf and my foot won't even go in them. I then tried a size 9 1/2 - nope not those either. I am now proud to be a size 10! Now I understand that the last 3 months of my pregnancy, I walked around in slippers constantly because my feet had swollen to the size of melons, but one does think that eventually the swelling goes down and you can fit in your shoes again. Nope think again. Now I understand why I was in pain at Disneyland trying to walk around in size 9 shoes. Silly me, I needed 10s. When I looked at Jack and told him that this was all his fault he just looked up at me with that gummy smile and laughed. It was all worth it!!!!!!!!!

Jack's pics
We took Jack to Sears on Wednesday to get his 6 month pictures done and I think they turned out great. This was the 3rd time that we had his pics done and for once he was actually happy to be there. The other two times, my little devil child came out and replaced my usually happy child. Even the photographers were wondering where this spawn of the devil came from! But this time, he was so full of giggles and smiles. I think he was enjoying showing off his latest acquired skill - sitting up by himself! I also wanted to capture his little gummy smile while it lasts. I know that a pearly white is pushing its way through - another sign that my baby is growing up (sniff sniff).
His other newly acquired skills are as follows and not in any particular order:
His other newly acquired skills are as follows and not in any particular order:
- Banging anything that comes into contact with his little hands.
- Talking to his binky like its his best friend in the world. (I guess binky understands him like nobody else.)
- Rolling all over the floor, hence being able to get into any dangerous situation in a blink of an eye.
- Pulling doggies and kitties skin so hard that they end up "really" hating him and wishing that this thing called a "baby" never entered the house.
- Sleeping in his own crib and not hogging Mommy and Daddy's bed.
- Learning that wooden spoons are really cool and much better toys than anything Mommy buys.
- Figuring out that "Itsy Bitsy Spider" is the best song ever and should belong on the Top 40.

6 Months!
6 short months ago, I gave birth to this perfect little boy. I don't know where the time has gone, but I can say that I have loved every single minute of being his mother. Yes, even those sleepless nights. I never thought I would get more than 2 hours of sleep at once, but now Jack is sleeping in his crib and for 5 - 7 hours at a time! I thank God everyday for giving me my baby boy and his daddy. I am truly blessed!
