HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA

This has been quite a couple of days for our dear Laura. Not only did she place first in her very first cheerleading competition yesterday, but today, she turns 10!!!! I kept telling her all day yesterday that she is now double digits and will be for the rest of her life! Unless, of course she lives to 100, which ya never know.

We had a little impromtu party for her on Saturday night with some neighbor friends. Yummy ice cream cake. Even I had to go off my no-sugar kick for that. And oh was it good. Jack and I split a piece and he ate his half in about 2 minutes!

Laura also made out pretty good for her birthday. From us she received a new pair of pjs, which I was really wishing they had in my size - so so cute. She also got some slipper socks and a cheerleading teddy bear in her orange team color with her name on the front. From her grandparents in Michigan, she got a cute kitty cat charm bracelet and matching earings. She loves them and in fact, she took the bracelet with her to competition yesterday. She couldn't wear any jewelry while competing, but she had it in her bag for "good luck" she said. She said after the competition that she had good luck and I kept telling her that luck had nothing to do with it. That was all hard work on her part. But, she loves the jewelry from the Michigan Grandparents.
