Well I am feeling a bit better than I have in days. I actually was able to make dinner and eat some of it tonight. I made the Tator Tot Casserole from Naptime Gourmet. It was a hit with Jim but was just so-so with Jack. I don't think he was very hungry.
Jim called Laura today to see how she did at her competition yesterday. She placed first place AGAIN!!! She has yet another bid to go to Nationals in Orlando in May. She said there were aobut 40 teams competiting yesterday. That sounded like fun to sit through all that - NOT. Don't get me wrong, it is fun to watch them compete, but it sure makes for one long day. Her next competition is on the 29th. Only 3 short weeks. Oh and she also said that her mother did not go yesterday. Another cheer mom took her and did her hair and makeup for her. I just don't understand her mother. How can she stay away? Literally the woman only thinks of herself.
Speaking of Orlando, we are getting excited about our upcoming vacation in June. Jim's family is having a big family reunion in Mississippi which will be fun. There are many many cousins, aunts, and uncles for Jack to meet there, not to mention Grammy C. We are also going to use the opportunity to go to Orlando and stay at the Nickhotel for a few days. Take in Universal Studios and Disneyworld and have fun splashing at the hotel. I think we are going to drive to save some money. Flying a family of four across the country is expensive. But we'll see. It should be fun planning out our two weeks though.
That's all that is going on right now. I hope that Grammy and Papa are recovering from their flu that they got from Jack. They got sick as soon as they got back to Michigan. Of course Jack is all better now and being oh so TWO! He was just pushing our buttons today. If he wasn't trying to break the dishwasher, he was torturing the cats and dogs, or just plain screaming for no reason at all. Gotta Love the Two-Year-Old.
