Today was one of those great family day out for us Jackaroo World people. We started off by going to a neighborhood that has a manmade lake with a walking trail around it. We walked around once enjoying the great weather. There were a couple of duck families with little itty bitty baby ducks. So cute!!! One set of the baby ducks were born probably just a few days ago, they still had their downy fur on. Of course we had to feed the duckies (and all the hundreds of catfish).
We then spent sometime at the park by the lake. Jack and Laura went climbing, sliding, and swinging while Jim and I sat there in the shade watching.
Then we went to the small airport nearby and had lunch at the cafe while watching the airplanes taking off and landing. We sat outside and Jack was absolutely enthralled with all the plane action. He kept saying "bye bye airplane" as they took off.
Then we went to the free petting zoo, aka Petsmart. Always a fun thing to do when they have their adoption going on. Of course Jack loved the doggies and Laura wanted to hold every kitten she saw.
Now we are home, the boy is sleeping.
Speaking of Laura, she just got her braces on this past week and I don't think she is enjoying them very much. It was pretty funny to watch her try to eat her sandwich - hehe. I remember that. I told her that after while she will get used to them, but not sure she believed me. I will try to get a pic of her with the metal mouth if she will let me.
So now off to enjoy a lazy rest of the day. Cya.
