We, in the Jackaroo house, are getting sooooo excited about our upcoming road trip. We leave in 3 weeks and will be traveling over 5000 miles in the van. We plan to visit friends in Kansas, then head down to Gulfport Mississippi for a couple of days, then off to Jim's family in Mississippi for a big ole family reunion. We are talking about a huge gathering of aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course Grammy C.
After that we are driving to Orlando, where we plan to spend 4 days doing the Disneyworld thing. We were just all on their website planning what we are going to do and what rides we are going to go on. We even have reservations to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast, where you can meet all the characters. It will be so much fun to watch Jack, because he is really getting into Disney. He loves to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and talks about "Icky Mouse" all the time. He is finally getting to the age where he is going to get the whole Disney experience. And of course, Laura can't wait to ride the big roller coasters and go down the 90-ft water slide. She is quite the daredevil that girl.
We will probably spend 1 or 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, another day in the MGM studios, and then a day at the waterpark. Four very packed fun-filled days. I figure it is going to be exhausting but after that, we will have 3 days of nonstop driving back to California - plenty of time to rest up.
So the countdown has begun - 20 more days!
